What Steps to Take to Take Advantage of This Opportunity
Call us at 303-650-4187 or 888-572-2373 to book your race event rental(s).
We will send you a package with all the necessary paperwork.
Fax or mail us a copy of your completed paperwork: 1) Driver Registration Form 2) Annual Waiver of Liability 3) Series Declaration Form 4) Damage Deposit Form
Make sure you have the proper racing licenses Ensure you have the proper race license for the weekends you have chosen. We typically run with NASCAR and ASA, in which case you will need to be an NASCAR or ASA member and hold a NASCAR or ASA race license. Contact the sanctioning body directly for membership, race license application and medical forms. Once your licensing is in place, you will need to give your license and membership numbers to us in order for us to complete your registration for you.
Make sure you have all the proper equipment and safety gear You will need a legal auto racing suit, helmet, balaclava, gloves and shoes. Some of our drivers also invest in neck collars or Hans devices. Remember that your gear will be inspected at "Tech" at each race weekend for its legality (e.g. helmets will be checked for Snell ratings, gloves will be checked for holes, etc.) If you have any questions on whether your gear is legal or not, check out the sports car racing sanctioning body web site safety gear rules or give our offices a call.
Book your flights if necessary Typically, testing starts at about 9am on Friday and races go no later than 5:00 pm on Sunday. As a result, we recommend flying in no later than Thursday night and flying out no earlier than Sunday evening. We will email you an exact schedule for the race weekend as soon as we have it but unfortunately, we don't often get the schedule from the sanctioning body until just a few days (or sometimes only hours) before the event. As a result, it won't always be possible to know ahead of time exactly when you' ll be starting on the Friday test day or finished on Sunday race day.
Book your hotel if necessary We typically book rooms for our crew at discount hotels and are happy to make a room reservation for you too. If you're looking for other options, the best thing to do is visit the web site of the track itself as there are almost always accommodation sections that offer you different price ranges.
Arrange for transportation We can arrange for pick up through one of our local limo service to take you to a hotel or even arrange a special NASCAR limo to pick you up. If you want to make your own arrangements for transportation to and from the airport as well as to and from your hotel. Most drivers rent cars for the weekend or if you'd prefer, you can always hook up with another driver and car pool.
Familiarize yourself with the track and sanctioning body It's a good idea to spend some time researching the track you're going to be on and the sanctioning body you're going to be running under. While we will provide you with the relevant web sites on the itinerary we email you, you can always check them out ahead of time.
