JECO MotorSports Results From CNS’ Race of Champions

The “Race of Champions” event on Sept. 9, 2006 at Colorado National Speedway held
it’s fair share of obstacles for the JECO MotorSports team. A determined crew looks to put
this weekend behind and set it’s sights on a victory in next week’s Challenge Cup XXXII.

Saturday night’s events saw only a brief outing for the JECO MotorSports #08 Dodge ProTruck,
driven by Bear Lynch of Denver. During afternoon practice, the truck encountered some
mechanical difficulties that were unable to be rectified at the track. The result was a
failure to qualify for the main event of the evening. The feature event of the evening was
won by Kersey Colorado driver, Chris Leaf.

In Figure-8 action, JECO MotorSports team owner, Jim Egli qualified in the 8th position.
After a brief rainfall, the Figure-8 B-mains proved wet pavement and racecars to be an
interesting combination. The Feature event for the night started Egli in the 9th position
on the grid. While racing for positions and moving up through the field, the mechanical
gremlins struck again, forcing Egli to pit and settle with a 14th place finish. Figure-8
veteran driver Dennis Stepanich of Arvada took the win for this event.

Bear Lynch drives for JECO MotorSports, a Primarily Un-Sponsored Late Model, ProTruck,
Figure-8, and Super Stock team out of Denver, CO. Associate sponsors the team would like
to thank are Arizona Bag Co., Spitfire Racing Engines, and Dyno Pro Inc.
