Bear Lynch of Denver, CO gave Crew Chief and Dad, Larry Lynch the perfect gift by powering
the # 08 JECO MotorSports Dodge to victory lane during Colorado National Speedway’s
“USLMA Father’s Day Challenge”.

In Late Model division qualifying the # 08 of Bear Lynch was just one spot shy behind the
# 11 of Darren Robertson of setting the evenings quick time. Robertson turned a quick
time lap of 16.241, while Lynch stood just a few hundredths back at 16.313.

Advancing to the 75-Lap Feature race with his qualifying efforts, Lynch did not have to
run the qualifying “B-main” events, but got a good feel for the car with a fifth place
finish in the evenings trophy dash for the USLMA late models.

The full field of 25 USLMA late models was brought to the green flag by front row sitters
#87 John Webb of Pauls Valley, OK and #81 Jeff Larsen Jr. of Pueblo, CO. Starting in 7th
place on the grid, Lynch had moved his Dodge up to 3rd place by lap 10 and within a few
more laps had moved to 2nd place and set his sights on race leader and current USLMA Point
Leader #28 Dusty Fielden of Tucson, AZ. Keeping right on the bumper of Fielden, Lynch was
looking high and looking low for a place to pass while navigating through a great deal of
lapped traffic. By lap 50, Lynch had pulled up along side of Fielden, and the pair raced
side by side for several laps until the #08 Dodge was finally able to take the lead at the
stripe a lap before the second caution of the event on lap 56. On the re-start, Bear
Lynch took his JECO MotorSports Dodge, put the pedal to the medal, and never looked back.
When the checkered flag flew at the end of the 75-lap contest, it was the # 08 of Bear Lynch
by nearly a straightaway over the second place car of Fielden. The # 77 Steve Yackey, # 11
Darren Robertson, and # 91 Cris Muhler finished out the top five.

A very excited Lynch gave the over 10,000 fans in the stands a crowd pleasing burnout
before parking his # 08 Dodge in Victory Circle.

Bear Lynch drives for JECO MotorSports, a Primarily Un-Sponsored Late Model, ProTruck,
Figure-8, and Super Stock team out of Denver, CO. Associate sponsors the team would like
to thank are Arizona Bag Co., Spitfire Racing Engines, and Dyno Pro Inc.
