Driver of the ASALMS #108, Bear Lynch of Denver, CO and the JECO MotorSports team are
making final preparations to ready their Dodge Charger for the “Northland Oil 250” ASALMS
event at Iowa Speedway in Newton, IA, on October 14, 2006.

After some tough lessons learned in an earlier ASA Late Model Series Challenge event in
West Allis, WI at the Milwaukee Mile, the team is primed and ready for the competition in
Iowa. Said Lynch after the Wisconsin event in August, “I think we under estimated just how
good these guys were. 47 cars with names like Eddie Hoffman, Butch Miller, Charlie Menard,
Chad Wood, Bobby Stremme…We will try to take another shot at them near Des Moines, Iowa at
the brand new 7/8-mile track that Rusty Wallace designed.” Crew chief Larry Lynch and car
chief Ryan Huffman are also hopeful that some changes made to the #108 will be just what
it needs to be competitive in the upcoming event.

At the ASA Late Model Series’ (North Division) most recent outing at Oktoberfest in
LaCrosse, WI, 50 cars attempted to qualify for the event, with only the top 20 making it to
the feature by time. In comparison, the NASCAR Elite Touring division that raced the same
location and weekend drew in only 20 cars. Only the top five qualifiers for the NASCAR
touring late models would have had times fast enough to make the ASA show. Lynch and the
JECO team hope for a solid practice this coming Friday, and a quick enough time during
Saturday’s qualifying to land a good starting spot in the feature field. With nearly 40
cars already pre-registered for the event, this will be no easy task.

The #108 2006 Dodge Charger body sits on an ’05 Howe Chassis and is powered by the ASALMS
mandated Mopar Crate Engine. The ASALMS Challenge Division competes at nearly a dozen
tracks nationally and has several of it’s races televised
(please visit www.asalatemodels.com for t.v. schedule). The series has been gaining
popularity over the past few seasons with both fans and drivers. The pre-entry list for
the “Northland Oil 250” currently reads like a “who’s who” of Late Model racing throughout
the Midwest. Bear Lynch and JECO MotorSports hope to end the weekend somewhere near the
top of that list.

Bear Lynch drives for JECO MotorSports, a Primarily Un-Sponsored Late Model, ProTruck,
Figure-8, and Super Stock team out of Denver, CO. Associate sponsors the team would like
to thank are Arizona Bag Co. and Dyno Pro Inc.
