The Snap-On Tools Pro Trucks rolled onto the
Speedway for their final event of 2007. Chris Cox jumped into the early
lead over Mark Neff, Ronnie Hults, Adam Hilton and Adam Deines. Hults
was second on lap 3 and Harkins moved into fifth. Harkins was fourth on
lap 7, and third on lap 8 as Bear Lynch raced into the top 5. By lap 9,
Neff was pushed out of the top 5 and Cox led Hults, Harkins,
Bear Lynch
and Beau Kellogg. Hults took the lead on lap 13, and a caution flew on
lap 14 for debris and Ross Thompson catching on fire in the infield. By
lap 20, Bear Lynch’s
Dodge was up front over Hults, Cox, Harkins and Kellogg. Rudy Vanderwal
spun for a lap 25 caution flag by lap 30 Kellogg was fourth over Deines.
Two wrecks brought out a lap 31 caution ending the night for the drivers
involved. In turn 1, Happy Ferree and Harkins tangled with Harkins new
Toyota eating a piece of the turn 1 wall. Then in turn 4, Jack Nugent
and Danny Councelman crashed together. Councelman jumped out of his
truck and was walked off by track officials before any harm could be
done. Kellogg got by Cox on the restart but Cox fought back and was back
to third on lap 34. Deines was fourth on lap 36, and third on lap 38.
Nothing was going to stop Bear Lynch
as he took the big win over 2007 Champion Hults, Deines, Cox and Richard
Burton. Bear Lynch
also set quick time with Dustin Courter getting “Rookie of the Year”
honors.
